Sam I  think the basic idea of getting a 720 printer working is to use
magicfilter.
Also the pnm2ppa driver does not always work.Try also the
pbm2ppa(non-colour)
driver.When you install these drivers they appear in magicfilter.I cant
remember offhand
the command to configure magicfilter(something like magicfilterconfig.
When you install magicfilter it gives you the proper command).
I tried this on a friends printer and got it to work but I used
the non-colour on his machine.Your results may differ.
