Re: php4 package broken?

I tried it last night - it worked - now i have php4 and a webserver up on
both sides of my system at home - Libranet Linux and Win 98

the sequence was:

remove apache and apache-common
install php4
- it calls apache-common and installs it
install apache

at least that worked for me

then configure everything and get it running :-)

My employer is hesitating to pop for Coldfusion Server / Studio so I figured
it was time to buckle down and start messing with PHP. ColdFusion is VERY
easy - working with databases from within Studio especially - and I don't
know of any tools of that caliber that are PHP4 specific.

What tools are out there? Are Bluefish or Quanta adaptable/configurable
(plugins?) for PHP4 coding in HTML pages?
