Did you try modconf. As far as I know it will update /etc/modules.conf
so the module is loaded the next time you boot. If you've already
installed the module with insmod you will have to remove it with
modprobe before modconf can install it. Otherwise the resource will be
listed as busy.

You could also check update-modules (as root).
