Re: kt7-raid

Something about my setup doesn't like the controller. Here is what
happens:

The module is installed in the kernel, and if I enable the controller on
the mother board there are no problems.

If I hook up a device (a WD hard drive) to the contoller, I can't even
start to load linux. I get the lilo boot prompt, choose linux, and then
I get the
Loading Linux...............................
.s

and it just stops.

At first I though that perhaps the controller was becomeing IDE 1, but I
relized that this was not the case when I tried using my Libranet 2.0
disk and durring the partition set up, it saw every drive properly
(where I expected them to be).

I'm not sure what could be causing this problem. The windows boot up
also fails (linux is hda1, windows is hda3), so that makes me guess that
it is a lilo problem, but I don't since it works fine so long as there
is no hard drive connected to the controller, I can't figure out what it
is that could be wrong.
