Sorry, that's it for me although I agree with Christian's post that lilo
is finding the kernel otherwise you wouldn't get the 'loading' message.
I also agree that giving a boot disk a try is a viable option.

As for the kernel options, if you hold the shift key while the machine
is booting you'll get a 'boot:' prompt. Then try Linux BIOS=0x?? per
Christian's post. I have no idea what the proper syntax should be or if
quotes are required.
